The Year of the Dragon doesn’t officially start until January 23, 2012, but for Swedish indie darlings the Year of the Little Dragon has already arrived. Hitting the stage tonight at Terminal 5, this Gothenburg-based pop outfit plays a sold-out show with special guest Questlove, Javelin, and Donn T, before heading down to play Moogfest in Asheville, N.C., later this month stopping for a few shows in between. Fronted by "radiant vocalist Yukimi Nagano and her close high school friends Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrick Källgren (bass) and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards), Little Dragon stepped into the spotlight with the release of their first double A-side single on Peacefrog.” Now they’ve leapfrogged across the Pond quickly becoming ones to watch: Says the venue’s website, "Little Dragon take tired musical traces and styles, give them a shot in the arm to leave us with something fresh and positive.”
