Last week, the Thursday Styles’ Boîte section headed over to Bathtub Gin concealed behind a coffee shop. “Like an infestation of voles, speakeasies continue to burrow their way into the city’s night life,” reported the New York Times scout. “[This] fake Victorian bar ‘hidden’ in Chelsea [opened] last month, the lounge hopes to corral herds from the Meatpacking District with the easy refinement of cocktail culture.” There’s a copper bathtub in the center of the room that not surprisingly revelers jump into for a Facebook-ready snap shot. Co-owner Dave Oz told the styles he plans on displaying a collection of pics on the walls: “Every night, people get drunk and sit in it and take pictures.” Talk about a bubbly bath.
