While I.M. Pei’s Terminal 6 is being trashed and therefore eradicated from an Open House New York itinerary this weekend, Curbed.com reports, "JFK’s Eero-Saarinen-designed Terminal 5 will be open Sunday, October 16, from 1 to 4 p.m.” To get a sneak peek, no reservations—or passport—are required. "Restoration architect Charles Kramer of Beyer Blinder Belle and James Stevens, the redevelopment manager from the Port Authority, will speak about the site’s future at 1 p.m. Will they answer the site’s key question: Trump or Balazs? Doubtful!” However, on another note, if you just so happen to have a friend flying into town, try and coordinate your schedules. After all, no one ever actually meets anyone at JFK, so why not take advantage of this golden opportunity to be the greatest friend ever—and get some insider NYC history. (Seriously, ever.)
