This past weekend brought big news for David Chang fanatics as the culinary maverick expanded his empire above 14th Street. "Glory, glory, hallelujah, this is the moment the Upper West Side has been waiting for: the Columbus Avenue location of Chang and Christina Tosi’s Momofuku Milk Bar is now open,” heralded Eater.com on Sunday. To be exacted, the new shop opened one block from Central Park with its trademark neon sign, and apparently the food website’s zeal was met by the patrons who lined up out the door (check out the twitpic) for some compost cookies, cake balls, and pork buns (be warned though, "a tipster reported that the buns sold out in a flash”). "The menu is the same as at the other three locations: soft serve, truffles, cookies, pies by the slice, croissants, cornbread, bagel bombs, coffee, flavored milks, and veggie and pork buns.”
