Speaking of words, here’s a buzzy one that seems to have gone out of vogue for reasons unknown, "multiculti.” Seriously, when was the last time you heard anyone use that expression which was everywhere circa 2005? However, here’s a great reason to pull this passé term out of retirement for one last hooray: tonight’s multicultural benefit and gala at the Met Museum. Celebrating "An Evening of Many Cultures” to benefit the Multicultural Audience Development Initiative’s program, DJ M.O.S. will be spinning for a black-tie-optional dance party in the museum’s Great Hall. The evening’s honorees include Samuel L. Jackson, who’s currently portraying Martin Luther King, Jr. in Broadway’s "The Mountaintop” and Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro, as well as Colombian artist Olga de Amaral and Chinese-born sculptor Cai Guo-Qiang. So, yeah, go all multiculti again!
