If you’ve seen those scary movies about the food industry like "Super
Size Me” and "Food Inc.,” you’ll extra appreciate the feel-good
closing night screening series, Farm to Film to Table, at the NYC Food
Film Festival in Tribeca. Hosted by chef and Food Network star Amanda
Freitag, the evening presents a round-up of movies celebrating
sustainable cuisine and farm-grown goodies, including a movie about
homemade Texas molasses called "Good, Better, Best,” "Truck Farm,” and
"How to Prepare for a Midwinter Soup Frenzy.” (Note: Especially timely
with next week’s Soup Social coming up on October 22 in Chelsea.)
Along with filmmakers, viewers can meet NYC’s farmers-market celebs,
the Ronnybrook Farm family, who will be serving up sundaes, and feast
on a harvest-fresh, farm-to-table dinner inspired by "Truck Farm.”
Sounds like two green thumbs up!
