GEEK CHIC

October 4, 2011

Speaking of the Material Girl, another song comes to mind on hearing that Refinery29.com has unearthed a beauty product that promises to return your hair to "its virgin, pre-fiddled-with state.” Thanks to scientists at MIT (yes, MIT) and backed by investors, Living Proof offers a shampoo, conditioner, and hair-mask ensemble that promises to "breathe the life back into your lovely locks.” The brand uses a "patented moisture-controlling molecule, polyfluoroester, along with other natural and super-safe ingredients” to tackle porosity which causes hair to lose moisture. The team at Refinery29.com played test lab with their own tresses and reported they "are thrilled with [their] new, middle-school-era hair.” Talk about ushering a whole new era of geek chic.
